Akwa Ibom First Lady, Patience Umo Eno, Dies .
According to an official statement titled ‘Unexpected Sunset’ and signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong, Mrs. Patience Eno passed after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.
Ememobong conveyed the immense grief felt by the first family and the government of Akwa Ibom State, noting that the family has humbly submitted to the will of God during this difficult time.
While expressing gratitude to all those who have shown support, the family requested privacy as they mourn the loss of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
The statement quoted Governor Umo Eno as reaffirming his commitment to the service of Akwa Ibom State, despite the monumental personal loss.
“His Excellency extended his appreciation to all who have stood by the family throughout this challenging period,” the statement adds.
“As the state grieves the loss of its First Lady, further details regarding the burial arrangements will be communicated by the family in due course.
“The entire state has also been asked to keep the governor and his family in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this painful time,” the statement continued.
Known for her quiet strength, charitable heart, and strong faith, leaves behind a legacy of service and compassion, the late Mrs Eno will forever remain in the hearts of the people of Akwa Ibom and beyond.
