APC names Ben Ayade as head of national council for Imo guber campaign

Bassey Edet Otu, who currently serves as the Governor of Cross River State, has received a significant appointment. He’s been chosen to lead the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council, which consists of 225 members, for the upcoming Imo Governorship election set to take place on November 11th.

The formal inauguration of this highly esteemed campaign council is planned for Saturday, September 16th. This event will be held at the prestigious Landmark Event Centre in Owerri, and it’s slated to kick off at 11 a.m.

The ruling party’s communication team has conveyed that Governor Otu’s appointment signifies the immense trust and confidence they have in his ability to lead the APC’s campaign efforts for the Imo State Governorship election.

”The choice of such a prominent figure demonstrates the significance of this election and the party’s determination to secure victory,” one of the officials said.

The council co-chairs are Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Minister of Science and Technology Uche Nnaji and the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Hon Nkiru Onyeajocha.

Other prominent names on the list are the former governor of Abia, Orji Uzor-Kalu; the Deputy Speaker of the House of Reps, Hon Ben Kalu; former governor of Imo, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the ministers of women affairs and trade and investment; Uju Kennedy and Doris Uzoka.
