Defence Chief Reaffirms Armed Forces’ Commitment to National Security

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has reiterated the Nigerian Armed Forces’ dedication to securing the nation by eliminating criminal elements causing insecurity.
General Musa made this statement during a visit to the military cantonment in Samaru, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The cantonment, equipped with advanced facilities, aims to address security challenges in Southern Kaduna and surrounding areas.
Speaking to journalists, General Musa praised the troops for their professionalism and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation. He assured them that their welfare remains a top priority and will be enhanced.
He urged the soldiers to maintain their professionalism, respect human rights, and collaborate with other security agencies and civilians to achieve national security goals.
Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, Commander of Operation Safe Haven and General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, encouraged the troops to remain committed to their mission and not relent in their efforts.
Senator Sunday Marshal, representing Kaduna South, commended the military’s efforts in ensuring security in the region and promised improved collaboration between civilians and the armed forces.
General Musa, accompanied by senior Defence Headquarters officers and General Abubakar, also paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Kagoro’s palace. During the visit, he reaffirmed the military’s commitment to fostering unity and ensuring security in the area.
