Former Liverpool star defender, Jamie Carragher has criticized Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly for making attempts to hijack Ecuadorian midfielder, Moisés Caicedo despite Liverpool and Brighton reaching an agreement for the player on Thursday.

Recall that Liverpool, on Thursday night, agreed a British-record transfer fee reportedly worth £110 million to sign Caicedo from Brighton.

It was reported by international media and football expert Fabrizo Romano that Caicedo was going to appear at Liverpool for his medicals but things have now taken a new twist.

Caicedo was quoted to have said that he prefers a move to Chelsea rather than Liverpool.

Moments later, he followed the Blues on Instagram.

Reacting, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher wrote on his Twitter handle: “110M is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a 21-year-old. Boehly has lost his mind yet again.”

If Chelsea acquire Caicedo, they will be having two solid defensive midfielders in Caicedo and Enzo.
