‘I am Ready for War’ — Dele Farotimi Challenges Afe Babalola in Fiery Statement
Renowned human rights activist and fiery legal luminary, Dele Farotimi, has declared himself ready to face his ongoing trial with unflinching determination.
Taking to X on the 29th of December, 2024, Farotimi vividly described his preparation for the legal battle ahead: “My battle axes are newly sharpened, my guns primed, I am ready to war.”
With words laced with conviction, he likened his resolve to an unyielding warrior primed for the next round of combat.
“I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers,” he asserted, “but I am human enough to retain the capacity to shed tears of joy in appreciation of the grace of God, expressed in the concerted efforts of fellow victims.”
Reflecting on the course of his journey, he revealed that his resolve had never wavered, even as he awaited the next phase of his fight.
“I KNEW that the first round had been lost by those responsible for my imprisonment,” he stated confidently.
This fiery declaration comes just weeks after a Chief Magistrate Court in Ado Ekiti granted him bail of N30 million.
Recall that Farotimi had been arrested on allegations of defamation against Afe Babalola, the renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria and founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD).
As the legal storm gathers, Farotimi’s sharpened resolve and passionate words set the stage for what promises to be an intense courtroom battle.
