JUST IN: PDP Staff Resort to Prayers for Atiku’s Victory Ahead of Wednesday’s Tribunal Verdict
Employees at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat are turning to prayer as they await the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) scheduled for this Wednesday.
According to ThePressNG, a prayer session commenced around 1:00 pm at the PDP Chapel located in Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. Reliable sources have confirmed that the staff are seeking divine intervention from above as they anticipate the PEPC’s judgment on the case brought forth by the PDP’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
This case challenges the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election, and the verdict is expected to be delivered on Wednesday, September 6.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the election.
Atiku and his party, unsatisfied with the announcement, sought justice from the tribunal. According to them, there were widespread irregularities and malpractices.
