Ondo First Female SSG declares to run for Governor
Princess Oladunni Odu, currently serving as the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, has officially announced her candidacy for the upcoming 2024 gubernatorial election in the state.
According to THEPRESSNG, Odu unveiled her decision during an engaging dialogue with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel, part of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Akure.
Expressing her confidence, Odu asserted that her extensive experience uniquely positions her as the sole contender equipped to assume the mantle of leadership in Ondo State following the conclusion of Rotimi Akeredolu’s governorship tenure.
Odu’s declaration is expected to further heat up the race for the Ondo State governorship in 2024, with Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa who is currently acting as governor in the absence of Akeredolu, reportedly in the race.
