Osinbajo Congratulates Tinubu and Shettima on Court Victory, Calls for Unity

Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima following their triumph at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPC).

According to reports from ThePressNG, the PEPC recently affirmed Tinubu as the legitimate victor of the presidential election held on February 25, 2023.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Osinbajo expressed his belief that this verdict marks a significant win for Nigeria’s constitutional democracy and the principle of upholding the rule of law. He also took the opportunity to appeal to fellow Nigerians, urging them to unite and collaborate harmoniously towards achieving a common national objective.

“Congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, and our great party, the All Progressives Congress, on the judicial affirmation of the victory at the presidential election of February 25, 2023,” Osinbajo said.

“This ruling is a great victory for Nigeria’s constitutional democracy and its rule of law.

“The practice of democracy in our nation has been further strengthened by the fact that all parties faithfully followed the electoral process according to the law and relied on our courts in the event of a dispute.”
