Osun APC Expels 84 Members for Alleged Anti-Party Activities

On Wednesday, the Osun branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made an announcement regarding the removal of 84 members from the party due to their involvement in activities that go against the party’s interests.

Sooko Lawal, who serves as the chairman of the Osun APC, released a statement explaining the decision. This action was taken based on multiple complaints about these expelled members participating in activities that were detrimental to the party’s goals and values.

In response to these complaints, the leadership of the Osun state chapter of the APC formed a committee responsible for maintaining discipline within the party. This committee was tasked with investigating the accusations against the implicated members. The purpose of this disciplinary action was to address instances of improper behavior that reflected negatively on the party’s reputation.

The process involved a comprehensive and unbiased examination of the allegations by the disciplinary committee. Subsequently, the findings were thoroughly reviewed by the State Executive Committee of the APC in Osun. After careful consideration of these findings, the decision to expel the members in question was made in order to uphold the integrity and reputation of the party.

“After a comprehensive assessment of the evidence and consideration of the committee’s recommendations, the State Executive Committee has taken the difficult yet necessary step of expelling the following members: Akibu Olaiya – Iwo LG, Yekeen Ajoke Nafisat – Iwo LG, Wakeel Mutaleeb Adekunle – Iwo East LCDA, Olufunke Akano – Iwo East LCDA, Olatunji Idowu Ajoke- Iwo West LCDA, Ajala Abayomi – Ayedire LG, Adegboyega Semiu Adeniyi – Ayedire LG, Sabitu Rofiat Omolayo – Ayedire South LCDA, Oladeji Ismail – Ayedire South LCDA, and Tajudeen Akanbi – Olaoluwa LG.
