Osun Commissioner Pledges Monthly Salary to Constituents
Mr. Bunmi Jenyo, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, has made a noteworthy declaration to contribute his monthly salary towards the betterment of his constituents.
Through a statement issued this Saturday, Mr. Jenyo revealed his intention to extend his support to his constituents, particularly his team of over 20 aides.
He elaborated that these aides would be actively engaged, both directly and indirectly, in collaborative efforts aimed at fostering progress and advancement within his Local Government Area and the broader state.
He further said the move was meant to cushion the current economic realities and put smiles on the faces of the masses at the grassroots.
The statement partly read, “In his magnanimity to the people of Ila Local Government (main council) and Local Government Development Area, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, has donated his monthly salary to some of his constituents, tagged as personal aides.
“The aides numbering over twenty are to work with the Honourable Commissioner directly or indirectly in specific assignments, in the interests of growth and development of the Local Governments and Osun State as a whole.
“It is also in his giant stride to cushion the effect of economic realities in his community and put smiles on the faces of masses at the grassroots.”
