PDP New Generation Forms Youth Campaign Council to Support Kogi Gubernatorial Candidate
The National Executive Council (NEC) of the PDP New Generation has embarked on a notable initiative to rally the support of young individuals for the impending Kogi State Gubernatorial Election scheduled for November 11, 2023.
Effectively, the NEC has formally designated prominent figures to lead the Youth Campaign Council, underscoring the importance of this pivotal electoral occasion.
Engr Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi, the former Kogi State PDP Deputy Publicity Secretary and a notable figure who previously contested the state assembly election for Ofu State Constituency has been chosen to lead the Youth Campaign Council.
A statement from Dare Akinniyi, the group’s Director of Media and Strategy, noted that:
”His extensive political experience and dedication to the PDP’s ideals make him a formidable choice to spearhead the council’s efforts.”
Assisting Engr Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi is Prince Adamu Ibrahim, an adept political analyst and grassroots mobilizer.
”With his keen insights and strategic thinking, Prince Adamu Ibrahim has been entrusted with the role of Campaign Secretary.” the statement noted.
The statement further read:
”The endorsement of the Youth Campaign Council by the National Youth Leader’s office indicates this initiative’s significance within the PDP.
”Two prominent figures, Prince Moh’d Suleiman Kadade, MON, and Arch Olumodeji Idowu, have been appointed Patrons, lending their guidance and experience to the campaign’s cause.
”The Youth Campaign Council is a robust assembly of 180 members, thoughtfully curated to represent the diversity of Kogi State. Comprising 10 to 15 young men and women from each local government area, the council reflects PDP New Generation’s commitment to inclusivity and youth engagement.
”The central purpose of the Youth Campaign Council is to synergize with all existing PDP structures in Kogi State, unifying efforts to secure victory for Senator Dino Melaye and Hon. Habeebat Deen as the next Governor and Deputy Governor, respectively.
”Their collective objective is to bring a fresh wave of leadership to Kogi State that resonates with the aspirations and concerns of the youth and the wider population.”
Justifying the need for Kogites to vote for PDP governorship candidate, Senator Dino Melaye, Akinniyi noted that:
Melaye’s journey from grassroots activism to the corridors of power has been marked by his unyielding commitment to the welfare of the people.
He added:
”With a resounding voice for justice, equity, and development, he has consistently championed causes that resonate with every Kogite’s aspirations.
”Moreover, Dino Melaye’s capacity to mobilize and unify is unparalleled.
His ability to bridge divides and rally diverse voices under a common goal is a testament to his leadership acumen.
”With him at the helm, we can be assured of a united Kogi State where every citizen’s voice is heard and valued.”
