Tinubu meets service chiefs ahead of G20 summit trip to India
The meeting was attended by Taoreed Lagbaja, chief of army staff; Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff; Hassan Abubakar, chief of air staff and Emmanuel Ogalla, chief of naval staff.
While the details of the meeting were not immediately made available as of the time of filing this report, TheCable understands the president was briefed by the service chiefs on the security situation in the country.
Tinubu is expected to jet out of the country later today to attend a G20 summit in New Delhi, India.
He is expected to meet with world leaders and heads of state in addition to industry titans, and chief executive officers of some of the most valuable corporations in the world.
On the sidelines of the summit, the president will participate in and deliver keynote addresses at both the Nigeria-India presidential roundtable and the Nigeria-India business conference.
He will also use the opportunity to highlight Nigeria’s attractiveness as an investment destination, specifically outlining his cross-sectoral reform plans as encapsulated by the Renewed Hope Agenda.
