Tragedy in Abia: 10 Dead, Including Babies, as Bus Collides with Truck
A tragic accident occurred at Apu na Ekpu area, near Umuika Junction in Abia State along the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway, resulting in the death of at least ten people, including two babies.
Eyewitnesses report said that the incident happened when a fully-loaded Toyota Sienna bus from the Abia Line network company lost control and collided with a truck before veering off the road and crashing into the bush.
The bus, en route to Umuahia, was traveling at high speed when it lost control and crashed into the moving truck. The impact led to the bus veering off the road and coming to rest in the bush.
As of the latest update, sympathizers were helping Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials to transport the deceased to the morgue.
