Uzo Oshogwe Appointed New CEO of Transcorp Hotel
Transcorp Hotel, a leading subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, has appointed Uzo Oshogwe as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2. Oshogwe takes over from Dupe Olusola, who completed her successful tenure.
Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Transnational Corporation, made the announcement via a Facebook post, where he warmly welcomed Oshogwe to her new role.
He also expressed gratitude towards Olusola for her leadership, highlighting her role in laying a strong foundation for the company’s continued success.
“I want to also thank Dupe for her leadership and contribution, which have laid a solid foundation for our ongoing success,” Elumelu stated.
He added that with Oshogwe at the helm, Transcorp Hilton Abuja, with its new 5,000-seat event centre, is poised to further elevate the company’s hospitality offerings.
Before her appointment, Oshogwe was Managing Director at Afriland Properties Limited, a prominent Lagos-based property firm.
With over three decades of professional experience, she has held leadership roles at organizations such as Accenture and the UBA Group.
Oshogwe holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, as well as a Master of Science in Information Systems Design from the University of Westminster, London.
She also has a professional certificate in Real Estate Management from Harvard Business School.
Oshogwe is a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and a civil and commercial mediator accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
She has also attended executive leadership programs at institutions such as the Lagos Business School and IESE Business School in Spain.
Emmanuel N. Nnorom, Chairman of Transcorp Hotels, expressed confidence in Oshogwe’s ability to drive the company’s vision. “Her expertise aligns perfectly with our goal to deliver excellence in the hospitality industry,” he said.
With a wealth of experience and a strong leadership background, Oshogwe is set to continue building on the legacy of her predecessor, Dupe Olusola, and lead Transcorp Hotels into a new era of growth and success.
